battling blemishes!

Just like high school pop quizzes and awkward prom dates, pimples are supposed to be distant bad memories. However, these days, even moms of teens are battling blemishes. In fact, between 15 and 35 percent of women in their 30s 40s and 50s suffer from breakouts and the bad thing this numbers are raising. This is highly correlated to the increase of stress levels and hormone fluctuation to today’s carbohydrate-heavy diet. Adult skin is more sensitive and less resilient than younger skin. It calls for acne treatments that will not only remove nasty acne but will also fight the signs of skin aging. Always keep in mind that there are several treatments that would not fit your skin type. So, better be careful in choosing your product.

The difference between fear and anxiety!

Fear and anxiety are most often referred to as one and the same, in terms of concept. Though the two are very similar, there is still a difference between them. Fear is a negative reaction to an imminent danger while anxiety is a negative emotional reaction to an undefined thing even when there is no immediate danger. Anxiety is then subjective sense of fear. When a person fears something, the person quickly builds a response to a threat in his environment; a child becomes fearful when there is a dog in front of him because he knows that the dog can hurt him. Sometimes fear maybe due to a previous negative encounter with the dog. On the other hand, a child feels anxious even when there is no dog around. The feeling is somewhat diffuse and may also be due to a past bad experience.

Here a quick tip to update your living room and give a little touch to make it look like new!

  • Get rid of musty smells by spraying an air deodorizer on your couch and other hot spots such as the dog’s bed and dirty gym suits. You can also buy throw pillows in bright colors and toss them in your couch and bed.
  • Go over your TV’s, tv stand, DVD players and other electronics with a specializes cleaning solution. It cleans gently and helps repel dusts between wipe-downs.
  • Give your chandeliers and glassware a quick shine with your own hands. Put on a pair of cotton gloves and use a damp one to dust off and polish while the other one to dry. You can also do this in glass-covered photos and printings since it will prevent water from seeping into frames.
  • Give your furniture a once-over with soft cloth and no-wax furniture polish. Dust nooks and crannies with a soft brush like those pastry brush.

grandeur festivals

I always love fiestas and celebration especially with a band, parade, street dancing and so on; especially, when the participants are kids from different schools. The kids playing the instruments look so cute. It’s good to know that they spend their time with this stuff instead of being with not so good friends. They will be able to enhance their talent in music. During fiesta celebration, I’ve got to see different exciting scenes such as the floats, customs of participants and the instruments they use like djembe drums. Most of them would want to maintain the eco-friendly products such as flowers and fruits. Well, as always, I look forward to see a much grandeur festivals here in my country.
